Conte: Chelsea Were Tired Against Better Leicester City

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has admitted that his side struggled to keep up with the pace of Leicester City in Saturday’s 0-0 Premier League draw at Stamford Bridge.
Conte watched in agony as his side failed to create scoring chances to end their winless streak in 2018. The Blues are yet to record a win so far in 2018, drawing four straight matches.
“I think we played with a lot of top players against Arsenal, and then again today against a very good team. I think a lot of our players were tired,” Conte said during his post-match interview.
“In the first half Leicester ran more than us, they played better than us. But we knew we were playing against a good opponent, maybe the worst opponent we could have played in this moment. We suffered a lot in the first half.”
On Alvaro Morata, the Italian gaffer absolved the striker of any blame despite him not scoring since Boxing Day.
“I don’t think it is only Morata’s problem, also the other players, because we are not scoring goals, we are not conceding, but we are not creating chances.”
Conte also bared his mind on Gary Cahill’s hamstring injury.
“I think he is with the doctor now, but it’s okay, I do not think it was serious.”
